Divorce Open Results
The weather was fantastic for this year's Divorce Open, bringing out a record 38 ladies to participate; several joining us for their first Saturday tournament! Not only did we break our record for turnout, but we also broke our record for number of wins, besting the guys in 14 out of 24 rounds. Though the gentlemen walked away with overall bragging rights this year, it won't be long before the scales tip and the ladies take all!

Congratulations to these sweeps winners:

Flight A from the combo tees:

1st place, with a team score of 57: Jenny Bentley and Pat Thionnet;
2nd, with a team score of 60: Jan Michel and Darlene DeBaldo; and
3rd place, with a team score of 64: Vicki Robinson and Alice Wong.

Flight B from the red tees:

1st place, with a team score of 59: Cheryl Kopel and Sue Russ;
2nd, with a team score of 62: Susan Olson and Donna Lauby;
3rd, with a team score of 64, Sylvia Cass and Karen Lamb; and
4th place, with a team score of 66: Lynne Gilmore and Shirley Taylor.

We hope to see all of you out there again on March 8th for our "The Luck of the Shamrock" tournament. It'll be a 4-person best ball with a twist (no, we're not using green balls this year), so keep a look out for the signup announcement with all the details.

Thank you for making the February event a great success - and check out the Photo Gallery for Pat Thionnet's photos!

Pheasant Run Invitational

Hole-in-One
Handicap Dir.,  Jeanette Alton ended 2007 with a bang - her fourth hole-in-one (two here and two elsewhere), this one was on hole number 11! Well done, Jeanette!

2008 Little John Cleanup
For the past 6 years, the Ladies Club has supported this effort to keep our Community beautiful. If you're interested in helping out this year, please call or email Bob Kenyon (209.785.0462; bken@caltel.com) ASAP.

Bob can answer any questions you may have about the process but basically, you sign up for a full month - alone or with another couple. The County supplies orange "safety" vests, pickers and trash bags which you then pass along to the people assigned to the following month.
